If you haven’t driven around Sea Pines lately, you haven’t seen the new homes under construction or the major renovations to existing homes going on. The weather was so pretty this past weekend (sunny, 65 degrees), and my wife and I were bicycling around Harbour Town and down toward South Beach. Huge new spec homes were going up. Spec homes! This activity represents a real turn in real estate on the island. Spec building means the demand is there, and these homes are going under contract prior to completion. Why?
