Oceanfront and situated high on the dunes of the white sand beaches is Folly Field. Unique in character and much smaller than the smallest plantation on Hilton Head, and with homes and condos to suite every taste, Folly Field was one of the first neighborhoods on Hilton Head Island to be developed. There are two beach parks in Folly Field, one is accessible to Folly Field residents and their guests, and the other is the Islanders park, accessible with an annual paid pass. Folly Fields beach park has restrooms, a lifeguard on duty, a boardwalk, handicapped access, a playground, vending machines and a picnic area.

During summer, Folly Fields perfect mid-island location lends itself to Harbourfest at Shelter Cove, where fun and entertainment abound with arts, crafts, live music, and weekly fireworks. Shelter Cove Marina, golf, tennis, shopping and dining are within minutes from Folly Field, as are the public schools, hospital and library.
